MySouxChef LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us”) operates the MySouxChef platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
Email address, business name, and password (hashed) provided during registration.
Inventory & Business Data
Inventory images uploaded for AI scanning, scan results and item counts, invoice images and extracted data, product catalog entries, correction data (edits to AI results), and storage location labels.
Automatically Collected Data
IP addresses, browser user agent strings, usage data (pages visited, features used, scan frequency), device type and operating system, and timestamps of activity.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Service delivery: Processing your inventory images through AI, generating scan results, managing your product catalog
- Service improvement: Using correction data (your edits to AI scan results) to improve AI model accuracy for all users
- Account management: Authentication, subscription management, billing
- Communication: Service-related emails, account notifications
- Security: Fraud prevention, abuse detection, legal compliance
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We share data with the following third-party providers solely to operate the Service:
- Supabase — Database hosting, authentication, and file storage
- Stripe — Payment processing (we do not store credit card numbers)
- Anthropic — AI image processing and analysis
- Google — OAuth authentication and Google Sheets integration
- Resend — Transactional email delivery
- Vercel — Application hosting and content delivery
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
- Row-level security (RLS) ensuring complete tenant isolation
- Encrypted storage of OAuth tokens
- No storage of PCI-sensitive payment data (handled entirely by Stripe)
- Regular security reviews and updates
5. Data Retention
Data retention varies by subscription plan:
- Trial (14 days): Data retained during trial period, deleted 30 days after trial expiration if no subscription
- Starter: Scan history retained for 90 days, invoice data retained for 6 months
- Pro: Unlimited scan and invoice history retention
Account information is retained for the duration of your account. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymized correction data used for AI improvement may be retained indefinitely.
6. Your Rights Under CCPA (California Residents)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:
- Right to Know: You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you
- Right to Delete: You may request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell personal information. No opt-out is necessary
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights

7. Data Deletion & Account Closure
You may request account deletion at any time by contacting support@mysouxchef.com. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data, inventory images, scan history, and invoice data within 30 days. Some data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., billing records, legal compliance).
8. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
9. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Authentication cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function and cannot be disabled.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the version number and notify you through the Service. Continued use of the Service after accepting updated terms constitutes agreement to the revised policy.
